Overview

Established by Tina Kim in 2001, Tina Kim Gallery is devoted to presenting contemporary art by both emerging and established Korean artists. As the Senior Manager of Media and Advertising Design, I worked very closely with directors, artists, and curators to solve the gallery’s digital and design problems.

I spearheaded and worked closely with developers to redesign the gallery’s website: tinakimgallery.com. The new website serves as a digital resource to clients, staff, and exhibited artists while maintaining a minimal aesthetic.

Problem

Up until 2017, Tina Kim Gallery's exhibition and art fair teams heavily relied on binders filled with printouts of artists' works and installation images, and this was not the most efficient way to access and share information with clients. The team needed to access information about exhibitions, artists, and any press-related material while on the go.

Solution

I designed a website that would be a digital resource for artist information, exhibitions, fairs, and available works. The website also became an ongoing archival system for staff. View a link of the entire presentation pdf case study here.
